Title: Induction powders lead (test)
Post by: OIR on 11/04/18 17:55 UTC
got 2 cheap china 5V-12V 120W ZVS Induction Heating Power Supply Module

works ok and can pull 15v 4A

put 2 in parallel connection and made a bigger coil..but the lead still take 20-25 sec to get the right heat before dip.

so... next up is a ZVS 500W High Voltage Induction Heating Board Module Flyback Driver Heater

I'm glad it works for you. I just use a heat gun. That thing to me looks like trouble.

I like the idea a lot!
Have always been intrigued by induction heating, especially the tool for induction heating nuts etc to remove them.
Keep us posted what you come up with!

Power Supply Transformer 24v/15 amp
ebay:Power Supply Transformer DC 12V 5A 10A 15A 20A 30A Switching Strip Light DriveDE

3mm OD/2 meter Copper Tube Pipe
ebay:2M Great Conductivity Soft Copper Tube Pipe for Refrigeration Plumbing OD 3mm US

 Induction Heating Board
ebay:ZVS 500W High Voltage Induction Heating Board Module Flyback Driver Heater

might try to put some on :
1~40mm White 600°C HIGH TEMP Fiberglass Sleeving Wire Cable Insulating Tube

still got to test out :
DC12V 30A 360W Power Supply vs 3 mm copper tube
24v/15 amp vs 5mm cobber
12v/30amp vs 5mm cobber

35mm ID / 9 turns / 3.5 mm space  (3mm)

info: ( Induction Heating Board)
.VCC: Voltage positive
.GND: Voltage negative
.OUT: Output port
.COM: Common port

update:
DC12V 30A 360W Power Supply cant run a 500 or 1000  Induction Heating Board
(a Induction Heating Board works on The higher the voltage, the more amps it can draws)

24v/15 amp Power Supply can run up to 1000v (cheap) 2 capacitor Induction Heating Board
(the more capacitor the better on a board)

induction coil...I have read about how they work and it seems that how smaller spaces between pipes the better it works
and i cut down the turns from 9 to 6 and it on a 1000v board (but build up heat)

1000v board = 50mm ID / 6 turns

update:
1000v board = 40mm ID / 10 turns (½  turn on start + 9 turns around  + ½ on the end)
faster and a longer heat and no build up heat on idle
