Title: Which formula plastic for Rippers?
Post by: t-billy on 03/11/19 15:47 UTC
What are y'all using for your Rippers? Soft? Medium? Getting ready to shoot my first Rippers, not sure which to use for best action. 3" and 3.5" ES molds. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I determine that by the application.
If I'm fishing swims weedless on EWGs, I shoot them in soft or stupid-soft.
If I'm fishing swims on jigheads, they'll get any combination of regular, hard, or somewhere between.

Thank y'all for the replies. I shot a bunch of them today using ES regular. I'm gonna add glass beads for weight in the next batch. I think I'll use soft formula for those to compensate for the added stiffness from the beads.

Both formulas worked great. I'm amazed at how slow you can swim these things and they still have that fantastic wiggle. I expect I'll be going through a lot of them. Great job on this bait folks at Do-it!!! You hit it out of the park. Now, about that 4" ES version............. ;D
