Title: Prepping Zonker strips
Post by: Fatman on 03/24/19 09:57 UTC
For anyone who wants to save some money on zonker strips buy some of the Hairline hair piece bags!  and cut your own zonker strips.  I cut some fill in colors and 3 new ones.  I sure ain't gonna run out!!! I have rabbit, squirrel, chinchilla, arctic fox....  well a lot!!

More is always better than not enough, right? I have enough strung marabou to last my great grandchildren's lifetime. :D

Great group of zonkers. And selection of colors and different hair.

Hope all is well, Doug.  Tom's post sounded ominous.  Those zonker strips bring back a lot of fond memories from the fly tying days.

Tom - Nope they're so easy to do but I'm not going to buy any more bags unless the whole bag is two color pieces.  None of the bags have the blue/purple mix but I actually bought the whole skin already cut for that!

Denny - I hadn't done much of anything when my back went out on me and I started losing weight - which I put some back on and have to get rid of it again!!  but I wanted to do something!!  So washed all the feathers I'd gotten and checked the bag levels on the zonkers.  They're not just for fly tying anymore!!  LOL
