Title: Stripes
Post by: ctom on 05/10/19 13:13 UTC
Here is a body from Shelts called a crappie crank. Its listed as a shallow diver and 1 1/4" in body length, but its shorter than that. These shown here have all been done with vertical side bars or stripes....sort of doing a color series with the stripes. This is a nice sized crappie crankbait and the action on this bait is really nice. Its supposed to have a 1' to 4' dive range but I had it down to 6' on 4 pound mono without working it  very hard.

It doesn't show real well in the picture but the top right bait has a split color back: blue towards the back of the bait and purple up front with a real nice feather of purple extending down on the gill area. This split color and the purple backed bait on the left have a violet hi lite in clear for a top coat and in the sun its a super nice looking color combo.
