Title: Memorial Day weekend
Post by: ctom on 05/24/19 15:18 UTC
Here's hoping everyone has a great weekend and this stupid weather cooperates with ya'll. Stay safe in your travels and activities, but have a great weekend.

I'll be here at home with Carole wearing a 48 hour Holter Monitor....for the ticker, trying to figure out some sort of relief from this Afib. With the COPD Afib is getting to be a burden and on top of those two inconveniences to life the old body has decided to humor some allergy crap. On top of the monitor I go in tomorrow morning for a full panel of allergy patching so the weekend is really starting to look like an at-home affair. Oh well....get this junk out of the way so I can get back to some semblance of normal.

Hope things improve for you Tom.  The weather, damn the weather!  5 inches of rain since last sat and we are presently under a tornado watch.  Long term forcast calls for chances of rain 5 of the next 6 days!  No end in sight.

Dang, hopefully things improve for you and the Mrs.  my neighbor had to wear one of those monitors a few years ago for the same problems. He was like a bear with a sore butt. They were able to get him lined out with meds but it took time.

I've lived with this afib stuff for over ten years now and have tried hard to not let it get the better of me but now I feel like I have to be a bit more proactive in how I manage it. The copd simply compounds the afib. Then toss in further breathing aggravations from allegories and I know I'm doing the right thing. Plus I feel fortunate to have found a super cardiologist at my primary health provider. Everything just seemed to be right at the right time. So many new medicines are available today to reign in afib episodes and we've already discussed one that she feels will do me well along side all the other pills I take.  Bouncing back after an episode is getting harder and harder so I have to do something. And I guess I feel like if I am going to tackle this afib beast I may as well go whole hog and get right after the other demons....those being the skin cancer and the suspect allergies. I know I cannot beat this stuff, but I am going to get a rope around it and control it....or at least that's my hope and intention.

Hope things improve for you and yours. They’ll be a cemetery run. And a cookout at my brothers for a Ant that’s coming into town from out of state. Always honor and remember the fallen.

Tom I hope things improve for you And your bride.

Hopefully I’ll be not doing much this weekend,  i’m Exhausted  and need some down time. I spent the better part of 4 days this past week about an hour from where I grew up for work so I brought my mom back with me. I’m sure Sunday or Monday I’ll have to run her home. Hopefully Sunday since I’ll be back on the road out of state again Tuesday morning.

Everyone be safe

I hope you start feeling better. Bad year for having allergy issues on top of everything else!

That's a beautiful piece of music...twice I've played it today. Flying that plane would have to be one very rewarding occupation. I'd love to see the plane light up the flares. Thank you for sharing this.
