Intriguing. I might have to give this a go. I’m wondering how this set up would play with the troublesome heavier powders?  Thanks.

Doesn't show and not sure if there is any type of membrane in the bottom of the cup?
Must be something otherwise the powder would run out the fitting?
And the 50 mm "push" fit couplings are kind of interesting, something not available in the US.

Premise: perhaps I did not understand completely this topic.
Are you looking for a fluid bed system for powder pigments?
If yes, then please let see this simple system https://www.bleigussformen-shop.de/Fluid-bed-Junior
The fluid bed is moved by a simple aquarium air pump (that one that creates the air bubbles column). Sealed cups can be hand crafted made, as in your original video. Somewhere should also explained how to build an "Amigo" cup (for ex. in the same German Forum). Of course the jig head is pre heated.

Looking at original video more times, I finally understood that the "engine" is also in that case an aquarium air pump.
About the question related to heavier powder, the German Shop underlines that this system is not good in such case.
The Amigo cups have got a membrane as bottom. In the following video the filters are paper sheets.

The Amigo system is a versatile idea because you can have several cups with various colors ready to use.

troublesome heavier powders...well im working on it.. blender + sandpaper = hold my beer
(blend heavier powder paint for 30 min works...but still need a lot of air....sandpaper might work if I can find a safe way..)
