.....the Red Fin Lake Trout.

I caught two last Saturday and another on Monday afternoon. All were 4 to 6 pounds. We dined on one Saturday evening. The rest of the others came home froze.
Fish the size of the one shown are top notch eating when done on charcoal.

I see you are trying to conceal your ankle bracelet as a bandage these days... well done.

Almost looks that way. lol Bear of a wound under that bandage that likes to drain so when I am in the public's eye I keep it covered and it stays clean this way too. At home I leave it un-covered a lot to help promote some growth of new hide and allow the wound to scab. Been a month now and healing is slow but improving. I was replacing some worn out cedar decking here at home and my leg went thru a bad board, scraping along a joist as I went down. The leg is still swollen some but not anything near the three times in size that it was. I opened up a 2" by 4" long hole that cut off the hide, muscle sheath and muscle to a depth of over an inch. Just happy it wasn't Carole that went thru the bad wood.
That was a bad morning. Twenty minutes before this fall I got a call from a Mayo pathologist that I had graduated from simple skin cancers to full blown melanoma. I have surgery again the 26th of August and will find out then what kind of after care this change is going to entail....radiation, chemo? This news was a game changer but I have to get it gone. Been a lot of super good days since that morning so we're meeting this head on and staying positive.
