Nice bait. Perfect size. And I love that tail.
Now, note to self.....clean the darned mold before you use it. lol

I ran a shot of chartreuse thru the mold only to find it slightly off-color. Seems there was some residual cutting oil in the tail portions that stained the chartreuse but not so much I wouldn't use it. So once I got past the brain fart I added some tails back to the mold and went right to Party Crasher glitter in clear and hand poured one side of the mold. Then I injected the purple and gave a ten count pressure hold. I'm going to add here that before I did anything I cut some venting for the cut off tails where the incoming plastic meets the tail. I used a regular straight edge and a utility knife with a new blade for this and it worked perfect. No bubble line in the bait's bodies from backed up air and a solid weld at the color merge.
The mold shoots sweet and the baits, as mentioned, are just right in length for fall crappies, which I'll be after in Wisconsin come late September. I chose to start off with a bait requiring some lopping and other than usual practices to see what might jump out as far as glitches go. And there were no real glitches. There may be some super thin flash at the fork end of the tails but that just adds to the tail's performance in the water. Basically its a sweet bait and a sweet mold. Ya'll are going to like this one.

Why would anyone buy a mold that needs to be 'modified' in order for it to work?

The mold is fine as it comes Steve. I just have this thing for adding little improvements, at least as I see them.
To clear the air here, it doesn't matter who's mold it is and whether it injects clean from the wrapper, I see things different than most will. Its not the molds, its me.
