Sunday I noticed some swelling and redness in my right calf. I’ve had a sore there for a couple weeks and decided that after the cancer surgery I’d hit the er to have it looked at. Now I’m in the hospital with a major league infection. Waiting on an mri to see if it’s into bone. Sure as heck didn’t see this coming. No idea how long I will be here. IV antibiotics going in every 12 hours. I’m not a fan of hospitals but I guess this has to be treated, sooooo

Jeez, if it isn't one thing, it's another. Hoping for the best possible outcome.

If there’s good news it’s that this stuff didn’t get into the bones. Tomorrow I’ll find out what they plan to lop and chop. Gonna try to get some rest now before they hook up the next round of antibiotics.

Man you just catch a break sure hope after this you can go trouble free the rest of the year.

Tom, we will be thinking about you. Hang in there.

Between this and your ankle bracelet, I think your days clogging are gone.

Sounds like surgery tomorrow to clean the infection pocket out. I’m really getting tired of knives.
-
Hope after this the only knife you’ll see is in your hand cleaning fish or cutting up your deer.

Surgery Friday. No idea what time, but Friday. These high powered IV antibiotics are starting to raise heck with me so hopefully I’ll be off those soon.
-
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Tom.
