It has been a really strange year this year. Despite all of the families health issues I have been able to get out a fair number of times and was lucky to connect every now and then. Even during Prime crappie seasons I struggled. Every year in the fall I really start slamming the fatties usually startling about mid oversight thru november. Not this year, I would sometimes pick off one and it I was really lucky two. Well they finally started their fall movements! I went out at 11:30 this morning and gotinto them right off the bat. Started off using the 2.5 inch swim fry in x2 blue with silver book glitter and a white tail. Caught 4 crappie between 13 and 14 inches. I lost my Jig so I switched to a 2 inch shad Bodied curly tail. They wanted nuttin to do with that so went back to the swim fry. This time a black one with a chart tail. Bingo! I caught 6 more crappie between 12 and 15 inches. 2 bass 1 small dink and a 3 pounder joined the fray. Off the water by 12:30. Not bad for an hour's fishing

Well there ya go. Now me, my best laid plans for fishing just seem to be Carole's favorite target this fall/early winter. Happy to hear things are getting back on track for you.

Glad that you had a chance to wet the line again even if it was only a short and productive trip. Hope you took some home for a snack.

WW yeah those fish became fillets, waiting for this evenings dip in crisco. I made that post from my tablet (won't make that mistake again). Oversight is actually October and book glitter is supposed to be holo silver. Damn spellchecker.
