....and the weather was perfect for a drive. Carole has been bugging me to get down to Waverly and New Hampton for a while now so today I relented. But first we went to Do-It's headquarters so I could pick up a couple things including the tail mold for that new Crappie Fluke I'll be in the garage shortly to play with it. lol
Always a great time to see Ryan and Josh and Kyle and Mark. Brennan I caught a glimpse of as he sailed passed on a mission. Carole got to tee-hee with the girls a little. Its brown down there...a far cry from the white I have in the yard. I go to see Kyle's deer's antlers and I can tell you they are something else. Actually Ryan and I interrupted Kyle's breakfast snack....grilled venison chops. lol What a guy. lol
It was good to see all of the crew for a while and then Ma took control and shopped me to death in thrift stores all the way home. Fun day and always a pleasure to spend time, even though too short, with the crew at Do-It.

That is awesome. Good to hear the two of you were able to get out to gallivant. I hope to one day visit the grand halls of the Do-It Corp. It is on my list of things to do right up there with going back to Canada to fish and visiting YouTube’s Marty Zoffinger’s Pelican kayak rental in Florida to chase crazy tarpon.

Sure wish I lived closer to DO-IT’S house of fun.
Glad that you a carol got out for a day of fun.
Fishermanbt it is a trip well worth the time and unless you have a short list of things to get you might want to spend the night and have a second day of fun with the guy’s.

Sounds like a great day. I would love to tour DoIts place some day. They have had a nice booth at the Bassmasters Classic in the past. I hope to make this years so I will see them there.

Carole must have had a full day planned for you, Tom. You pertineer left without your tallow.

Speaking of which, I have a full kettle ready to render in a little bit. Got it all cleaned up and chopped into chunks. That was a good pile to work with and lots of the hard fat. Birds love the stuff.
Carole hears the word Do-It and Iowa a couple weeks early and will have a solid travel agenda made up for when Do-Its door closes. This trip it was straight to Waverly and a half dozen shops, then New Hampton at a couple places. She goes ballistic in the shops and I sit in the van, play on the phone some and then nap. Works good for me.

Carole is off shopping again today so I rendered the suet and added the peanut butter and ground peanuts. After it cooled a bit I poured it into forms to set hard. All cleaned up now. Thanks for saving this for me Kyle.
