Jay Siemens - the brains behind the popular YouTube series 39 Hours and his wife shot a really cool soft plastics video. Check it out!

Good job on the video. Beginners talking to beginners is very effective! Any questions you have, I'd bet 95% of beginners have the same questions/issues!

Using a 3M Respirator is really important if you are cutting up and reusing other people's baits vs. baits you make and know what plastisol you used. I would be really careful of any baits manufactured outside of the USA. A small fan blowing across the work surface (mold and cup) blowing fumes away from you can make a big difference, especially on your eyes!. I also have a large fan that I put in my garage window to help vent out (and the little fan blows in that direction). When it's cold out (I live in Minnesota!) I put the garage door up a few inches for fresh air input. When it's warm I put it all the way up.

I would also suggest you get some good clamp vises. You had a "blow-out" in the video which could have had been a bad accident!

I bought an inexpensive table mount vise with the longest jaws you can afford. It will cover more mold, thus a better seal. It's a fast way to clamp multiple molds when you are shooting a few different baits at once.

Again, well done and I look forward to seeing more!!

It’s fun to watch what other people do . But like Andy said watch where bait are made.
