That's a nifty idea for holding the baits too. That alone makes the picture worth a thousand words.

I use some very fine stainless wire with a hanging hook in one end and just slip the straight end into the bait's nose end far enough to give some stability the hold onto the hooked end to spray. Some of my small hard baits I clamp into a tying vise.

Tom, I made the bait holders out of a thin wooden lath and 2” brad nails. The thinner wooden lath gives me more room to paint the bottom side of baits than say a 1X4 would. I put a double set of brad nails at one end to hold the thin tail of the Ripper instead of trying to skewer it onto the nails to prevent damage to the bait. Sorry the first picture was upside down

Looks like you're a natural. First attempt is a winner for sure.
