A friend gave me a gallon of saltwater plastic and I want to soften it to either a medium or a soft formula. Any idea how much softener I need to add to get there?

I'd start with 8 ounces. When I softened Essential plastic in 5 gallon pails I'd add a full quart of softener. But since this isn't Essential and a salt water formula I'd add the softener in steps and test after each step.

Thanks Tom. That’s about what I was thinking.

From hard/saltwater to regular/medium, add roughly 10% softener, say, 1 oz softener to 9 ounces hard to get 10 ounces of regular.
Double the softener to get soft, roughly 20% of the end amount.
As always, add a little extra stabilizer whenever adding hardener or softener because those additives don't come with stabilizer.
