Title: Sneak Peek
Post by: alwrenn on 11/06/20 16:39 UTC
Can we get a sneak peek at the new XL Essential Series molds? Pretty please!

milliken just posted a video with the "slick shiner" a 8 cavity top inject swimbait mold similar to the keitech easy shiner, looked like a ES mold to me.

i hope they do this to the 3" ripper, i would prefer it in CNC but might have to look at a top inject ES mold too.

i took a screen shot of the video (couldnt get it to load directly here from my phone!)

It looks like a smooth not a ribbed bait But if top pour it would be worth it just for laminate bait’s

Yeah it was more of an easy shiner style, not a swing impact

Yeah I watched the video.  8 cavity mold with an injection port for each cavity.  Good looking mold.

I'd sure like to see a 2" or even a 2 1/2" Swing Impact bait with the fine ribbing made from someone here on the mainland. If the commies can cut a mold someone on this land mass sure as heck ought to be able to do like-wise but having top ports for each cavity as Mike mentions. Do an opposing mold with tem cavities on one side then flip it over to do another ten.

The one Milliken had is 3.5, no idea if they are coming out with multiple sizes

I used to make a robo-worm knock off by cutting a wedge from the tail of the Wackm Worm, but the new Kutter worm looks BOSS as is... this should be a real bass harasser!

Zeiners has the pricing on their pre-orders, $66 for the ES XL molds, pretty good price for an 8 cavity top inject mold.

I'm a swimbait junkie! The 3.5" Slick Shiner mold is sick!  The size is perfect for bass, walleye, Pike, Great Lakes Trout and Salmon, Inshore Salt....  The action is outstanding.  Profile is perfect.  Every cavity shoots flawless.  This one is a winner.  This bait is a perfect compliment to the Ripper.  The Ripper is a bigger profile and more of a traction bait.  Slick Shiner is a finesse swimmer.  They are matching up perfect with the 1/4 oz. Swim Bait head and the Freestyle Head jigs.  And, its slim enough to fish on the Herring Head with an underspin.

I've seen this mold Marc. It is indeed one bait that will make the river walleye dudes jittery to get and use. The big bonus as I see it with the mold is the separate injection ports for splitting body colors.

Right on, Tom.  Walleye guys and bass guys are going to wear them out on this bait.  I'd like to take a gallon bag of these down to the gulf side of FL right now and get out of the cold and snow.  The inshore saltwater fish are going to destroy these.  Perfect size and shape.

And I don't do much myself, but if you throw Alabama rigs... this is going to be THE bait!

I could see this bait scaled down to 2" as a crappie chew too.
