How many of ya'll have the new catalog? Seen the new eyes? The "attack" and "hyper" series eyes? During my last visit to the company headquarters I had a chance to see these eyes first hand and all I can say about them is killer....these eyes are sweet.

Haven’t received the new catalog yet. Can’t wait to see them. Although I can not compare in quality to the professionally made eyes, I have been having fun making some. Having started out using the hole punch method I have since hijacked the wife’s Cricut machine. WAY EASIER! Although natural eyes look nice my goal is flash and attention. I really like the look of using some crushed pearl glow lure tape. Gives them a nice iridescent glow that pops after applying some uv cure resin.

I haven't got my catalog either... would it be correct to guess one of these will have the look of something like the BPS/Cabela's "mean eye" series lures, and the other a vertical pupil?
-
No vertical pupils in either series of the eyes except for the "mooneye" eye in the attack series which looks to be slightly vertical. Some pupils in the attack series are offset, half eyes are also available in the attack series. The background or base components along with the plastic covering goes a long way in making these eyes what they are. I was in Josh's office chatting with him when I noticed the bags of eyes next to his desk and had to have a gander at them. Just looking at them in the package made me nervous. lol They are very, very nice eyes.
Honestly I don't use eyes on personal jigs or soft baits but for the camera eyes are a must on most of these....definitely a must on all crankbaits. I have a mess of eyes from overseas sources and some of those are referred to as "hot" or "cool" or named after the 4 seasons based on the iris color. I especially like the "hot" and "fall" referenced eye colors on most anything I do for the camera, sometimes making the baits look frenzied or panicked. I see these Do-It eyes giving the same appearance to baits/jigs. Sizing on these eyes is in line with current eyes in stock with the size 6 being a 3/8" eye and the 2.5 being 5/32"....they all look great.
Just more great looking products to move Do-It straight ahead in the tackle crafting world. I'm anxious to put some of these in front of the camera on plastic, jigs and cranks.

No catalog here yet. Have never used eyes, but some of the posts on here with eyes are impressive.

When I had my tackle sales website I tracked sales with eyes and without. If eyes were on a bait in the for-sale menu, those sales would eclipse sales for the same bait without eyes. Personal use baits do not get eyes because I have never noticed any difference in bait productivity in the water. Pictures of and baits in stores with eyes see significant attention at the till. Eyes sell.....big time.

I typically do not use eyes on most (95+%) of my baits, but my one major exception is when the bite is tough in clear water applications... here I will use the Wutz-it in various sizes (for muskies, small mouth or trout) with a set of lookers, and I am convinced the added realism of having eyes does make a difference on getting bit over using the same color scheme without eyes.
As far as the newer eye shapes, I am already imagining them used in alternate ways to create baits that appear to be smiling, shrugging, winking, or exhibiting other emotions/ moods.

Are the two new eyes And indicator that there will be jig molds to go with them.
