Title: Round eye drop shot sinkers.
Post by: Canga~ on 03/30/21 08:16 UTC
Has anyone used a standard swivel on any of the drop shot molds, not the line grip type. Looking for something to use in a free rig and thinking the finesse style drop shot molds would work great if they can take a regular swivel! Thanks

The line clasps are just like a swivel on the lead end so I can't imagine a swivel of comparable size couldn't be modded into the mold without much issue.

I have used a #12 Crane swivel in mine all the time.

The easiest solution is to use the swivel made for them and put the grip side down (so the round side is up)... no muss, no fuss, and you'll have exactly what you want!

Buddy used the drop shot weight as a three way with a hook because it didn’t hang up as bad other set up’s. And as for as the swivel I’m with efishnc.

it seems a simple crane swivel will work, as well as the line grip swivels turned around, thanks guys! will most likely be getting this mold soon!

Great idea for an alternate application!
