Title: Hand tied crappie jigs
Post by: JUNGLEJIMJIGS on 09/17/21 06:22 UTC
Here are some of my crappie jigs tied with mallard flank feathers that I dyed. I've caught thousands of crappie on these over the years. 1/6th Diner Shiners and custom 1 gram Minnow heads. [ Invalid Attachment ]  [ Invalid Attachment ]

The only way duck feathers look any better is when the wings are cupped and feet down... as for the heads, they cannot look any better (except in a fish's mouth)!

Thanks for the kind words. The heads were painted using Silver Crinkle powder paint as my last color that I dip into before baking in the oven. I'm addicted to the silver, but can't get the other three colors to blend as well.

I use Pro Tec powder paints silver crinkle but also have used the silver foundation from fishingskirts.com with the same results so think they are the same.
