I dye tails on my stuff probably 90% of the time & it’s either chartreuse in moonlight or orange on dark moon lights. I use spike it

I have a bunch of colors of Spike-It but seldom use the stuff. I prefer to  make the baits with the tail colors but I fish with a guy who dips on a regular basis. He likes the product.

I'm a bass guy. Crappies are for sissies. Lol. But I do it all the time. It's just to easy to do it this way.

I use it on plastics and also some of my tying materials like chenille, some natural hair and Dragon tails. I dip chenille and let it air dry for a day before tying jigs with it. With hair and Dragon tails I apply it with Q-tips. My room smells like an Italian restaurant for a little while but these scented jigs retain the color and some scent so I don't need to tip these jigs.
