After several; rounds of surgery for skin cancers [some were melanomas] I was advised to start wearing the breathable uv enhanced long sleeved fishing shirts to keep the sun off my hide. I've bought a mess of such shirts and some of those are the Do-It Performance long sleeved shirts. I have a hard time saying enough about them.
These shirts are breathable and fast drying but more importantly they keep the rays off your hide and are in fact cooler to wear than most cotton shirts. With the weather getting cooler now I have begun switching back to cotton long sleeved tees but keep the Do-It shirts on standby should a day be forecast to get warm. I've been in rain wearing these shirts and they dry in a minute with some breeze. The fabric is just plain great making the shirts super nice to wear, plus they look great.
The best part is the pricing on these shirts. Other brands can cost twice as much and offer nothing more.
I know I sound like a broken record on this skin cancer stuff but it can kill you if you're unaware of having it. Taking a simple precaution like wearing a shirt, or the neck gaitor, that helps minimize uv ray exposure is such a simple thing to remedy. Sunscreen and a good hat are the other components of being "covered" and, too, are very easy to put to use. Skin cancer is serious stuff and these shirts along with sun screen and a cap go a long way in prevention. Think about it.

I've been wearing the Huk shirts. About ready for some Do-it's

Well said Tom. Several years back I started wearing cover up gear after several bad sunburns while fishing. I tried a buff but just didn’t care for it in most cases. I prefer the hooded long sleeved fishing shirts with a ball cap and sunscreen on the neck, face and ears. I also like fishing pants over shorts and I went to Merrell water shoes rather than sandals even in the kayak.

I love those sun shirts. I will be getting some DoIt ones soon.

I got some earlier this year and love 'em... I just wish they had some of the yellow ones in my size to make a Do-it/ Packer ensemble!

After last week and you're still hanging onto a dream?

Been wearing the "Sun Protection Arm Sleeves" for more years than I can remember.
Found that they also help stay warmer in the winter.

Face it....you're just smart.
All joking aside, the exposure to the sun's rays is bad stuff for many of us. These shirts do a remarkable job of keeping the rays off your hide and keeping you comfortable at the same time. I am wearing the performance T hoodie right now. We have a serious blow going on with the passage of a cold front and the amount of wind on the skin under the shirt is nil.
I suggest buying a size larger as they seem to run a tad on the small side, but then again it might just be my waistline baggage.
Great looking, great wearing....just a great shirt all around.

Yeah, I'm a cheddar head... plus I think green/chart will forever be more productive color combo than purple/chart (though tom will never concede to this).
