Title: 7320 VMC hooks
Post by: ctom on 03/10/22 11:45 UTC
These are for the weighted hook mold and are nice hooks that offer a much longer forward shank to the line eye. They mount up a ripper really nice. Here's a 1/8 and a 1/16, the two on the left, compared to a Gammi standard length hook. All are 4/0 hooks. Nothing given up on wire size. The guys I've shown these to have nothing but positive comments about the extra length.

I like that!  ;D

I'm very fond of the VMC hooks like this, and discovered them years ago. They've had other models too, such as the 6319 & 7319, which I've used for tying some bass flies. That longer front section is great for my purpose and I can see that they will work well for many plastics.

Do they fit in the Do It mold without having to modify it? I've got the mold, but have not tried using these hooks in it.

Yup. They slip right in.
