Title: Fixing Do it colors that settled out.
Post by: Agronomist_at_ia on 06/29/22 11:57 UTC
I had 3 large soft plastic color/die and a small one from Do-It. They have been sitting for a few months, and all of them settled out. They were hard packed in the bottom, and would not shake back up even after heating them up in the sun for a few hours.

I was about to throw them away, but decided to see if I could get them mixed back up before doing so by trying to use a dremel and a make shit paint mixer for the little bottles using a musky spinner bait form/wire.

After a few different designs and bends on some musky spinner bait forms, I came up with the design below. It work really well, and was able to mix the hard pack back into suspension.

So if anyone runs into the same issue, the die/paint for soft plastics can be mixed back up.

Just thought I’d post the design

Thank you for sharing that design. I have a sneaky suspicion that it will come in handy.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Neat looking tool.
