Title: Katana Kraw Question
Post by: troutsmart on 09/24/22 13:11 UTC
Hey everyone. I have a question on rigging the Katana Kraw. Can it be rigged effectively using the normal weedless Midwest finesse head or does it require the magnum version? Thanks!

Welcome aboard troutsmart! I think you can use the original Finesse head with the Katana Craw. A buddy fishes them on a 1/0 Aberdeen hook with a small cone weight pegged ahead of the hook so you should be ok with the regular finesse.

Hey troutsmart,

The Katana Kraw pairs perfectly with the smaller sized Weedless Midwest Finesse (3537) or regular Midwest Finesse (3513).

The diameter of the bait matches the outside diameter of either jig listed above, and hook slot on the bait accepts a #1-2/0 hook.

It's almost like they were made for each other.  8)

Awesome! Thanks so much for the info. I am going to be getting the Katana Kraw mold and I already have the smaller weedless midwest finesse mold so it's great to hear that they will work well together. Thanks again!
