Title: Two of the new silicone tab colors
Post by: ctom on 10/08/22 12:04 UTC
I’m a sucker for colors so when the newest silicone tabs colors were released I figured I needed a couple of them.

Shown here are the Green Shad on a split color head. The heads have a belly color of Clear with just a drip or two of White Bait Blast, thinned out well and a nice dollop of green hi lite was stirred in. The top color is Bait Blast Shad blast with a drop of white, a little clear, wee bit of Black Shad Pearl added to help tone down the silver look.

Also shown is the Green Pumpkin Blue Flash…. This is a cool color. The head is also done with Bait Blast in the Black Shad Pearl with a small amount of clear added along with a healthy shot of blue hi lite, then thinned out well.

The weed guards go in next, then they’re off to the box for next spring.

Rock star!!!!

Thanks "pro". I'm still learning.

By the way, the eyes are Do-It's Attack Series Ninja Shad, #4, in all of the heads.

Nice jigs. I've looked at that mold and I guess I don't see that much difference between it and the poison tail mold. That's what I make 80 percent of my jigs in. And actually like the hook in the poison tail better. Most guys like those heavy wire hooks in their jigs and I feel you get better penetration with a lighter wire hook with a smaller barb. Especially in a swim jig where the bass is hitting it on the move. It's not like you get to rare back and jack him like in a flipping bite. Just my two cents on it.

Great looking jigs, and great new skirt colors!

My only issue with Do It skirt materials is the cost. I buy most of what I use by the 100 in bulk, so wish they offered them that way too.

I realize that Do It primarily caters to hobby tackle makers, but wish they would sell wholesale too, to those of us with licensed tackle businesses.

I really feel that Do It is leading the way with a lot of this and that's a good thing since when tackle companies offer new colors, the skirts aren't always available at all.

Hi  Bigjim,
I had a dealer account with Do-It for several years when I had a gun and tackle shop. Always got their molds and supplies on dealer discount.

Love them!

Anything with hi lite tones always makes for a good jig.  When it comes in one skirt even better.
