1200 Ice Ticklers and 1200 of the smaller Wax Wigglers…. To be packaged up in bags of one of each color and each bait along with a 1/80 and a 1/64 jig made using Do-It’s Semi- Custom molds. The bags are being donated to a local ice fishing event at a local county park with a reservoir aimed at kids of all ages and demographics that has been gathering steam over the last couple of years. There are a ton of local businesses that donate to this cause and these packets of tackle will get added to the pile that gets handed out to roughly 1000 kids . If memory serves me correctly the event drew somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 participants including parents, sponsors and of course the kids.
The event is scheduled for either February 18th. I’ll be updating this as we draw closer to the event. Here’s the piles of plastics. The red sheet has the Wax Wigglers.
Note: I had to edit the correct date in here. When I spoke with Ryan Pike [the founder of this event] last night we got the correct date cleared up.

You are a heck of a guy. Those are some eye popping colors you cooked up there.

You've been a busy boy Tom. ;D

These are really tiny, thin baits and the colors need to be jacked up to stay vivid in them when seen alone, but yes, they are pretty gaudy, aren't they?

Looks like the kids will be fixed up well ctom.

Its hard to imagine that any kids in Minnesota would have never been ice fishing, or fishing period, but that's not the case. Lots of under-privileged kids here in the shadow of the Mayo Clinic. Ryan Pike, the brains and brawl behind this event, has done a super job of getting many of these kids with one parent out on the ice and finding out how much fun it is, even during some super cold weather.
This event has grown every year and I'm more than happy to give up 5 cups of plastic to make this contribution to his cause.
Do-It has donated two of the new Mold Kits, seen on their facebook page and mentioned here on the forums. These will be offered as door prizes by drawing. I'll round up the facebook link to this event so ya'll can see what its about.

Good friend and fishing buddy Tom Junge, left in the picture, is also a top-notch jig maker. He stepped up to cast and paint the more than 200 heads of each size [1/80 and 1/64] included in the plastics packets to be handed out. His wife Caroline was a big help too with the printing of the small labels included in each package so our great friends here at Do-It get proper recognition. In addition to the tackle shown here, Do-It also anted up two of those wonderful starter jig making kits for door prizes. Everything used in this endeavor started at Do-It Molds, except the small plastic bags.
Here are the two Amigos with the pile of goodies.

Hey ctom, that friend of yours looks awfully familiar to me.
You'll have to ask him if he ever went to the gun shop in Drakesville, Iowa.

Tom you two have done a great thing. :)
