Since the crappies are beginning to move into the backwaters off the river I thought something in the line of a shad color might be good. Tons of small shad showing up in the backwaters already and crappies do enjoy dining on them.

The bellies are actually a white pearl but they're hard to see against the stark white background.

They catch fish too. Big sunnies were all over them this morning.
