Just a nice color that has been producing on delta rivers as of late....

Body:  4oz  14 drops of black grape (LC), 2 drops California Blue (LC), pinch of medium blue flake, pinch of small blue flake

Tail:  4oz   3 blue CCM NB, 1 white, 5 pearlescent (M-F)

That's a great blue considering the pearl in it. I'm not a huge fan of pearl colors eventhough I have every one of them in Jason's pearl color line-up. I tend to use them sparingly, such as you have done here. The lighter shades of any color along with some transparency leave a whole lot of room for color play.

I can see juicing up the blue tail color with some periwinkle, deep blue and light purple glitter, say the .015, and dosing it good with turquoise hi lites to use as a back color on the small frys. A smidge of violet hiltes instead of the turquoise and maybe some garnet glitter of the same size instead of the periwinkle.

Great color! I also agree with ctom, that tail color will look good on some crappie baits. Mix it with chart, pink or white bellies!

I whipped up a 4 oz. batch using:

2 drops of CCM blue, nb
4 drops electric blue, nb
2 drops of pearl
bit of turquoise hi lites
periwinkle, blue and purple glitters

I laid this over the top of some pink bellies I cut out of some stock baits and slipped back in the mold. Man, what a color. I omitted the white but I think I'll do another batch of the same baits in the morning but will add the drop of white to it. I might even cut 1/4 of the plastic I'll re-melt off and add an equal amount of raw plastic to tame the blue down a bit. Gawdy bait as it sits.  Just a smidge of that electric blue goes a longggggggg way and then the turquoise hi lites really work inside a blue bait too. Hoping maybe the drop of white will rope this one in a bit. Sure wish I had the camera. lol

Good luck Denny as it has been a great catcher so far!

I haven't seen that color anywhere. I try to avoid bleeding colors. I do have chameleon and that is colorfast, but brown-grape, nada.

Motor oil, brown grape and blue craw are all changeble colors from M-F. All bleed but man they make a serious bait! Light affects the color we see and surely the color the fish see.

Killer good!!!!

Correct. They just bleed real bad so don't get the baits near other baits or try to laminate...
