Been having problems with baits getting bent after being packaged have tried letting then cure up to two weeks and put them in oversized bags. Having the most problems with the small frys and the super frys. Any help would be great. Thanks Obie

Are they being stored some place warm / hot? Soft or regular plastic? CCM plastic? Anything added to the baits or bag? Can you post a pic?
I have a bag I have had in my box for well over a month and they still look great. However, I keep my bag in the shop and it is AC controlled, but they go out fishing with me and get hot there... Just grasping at possibilities.

If they lay straight in the bag they are fine but if they get pushed to the corners of the bag and the tail stays bent untill the next time I go out they will be bent how ever they were laying. They are not in a tempererd area. Just don't want my customers to have bent plastics and it is ccm plastic. Can't figure out how to get a pic from my phone to the website to post a pic.

I think any small appendage will kink if bent and held that way for a while. Esp if allowed to heat up and cool down while bent. On another forum this was being discussed. One member suggested boiling the baits in water and then laying them out straight. Not sure of the outcome; but it will work on nylon polymers.

I send a bunch of small fry's to my brother in Indiana and I put them on a cardboard card...and put a small push pin through them and clipped the back of the pin. I then put them in a tight bag...just barely the size needed to help keep them on the pins and not moving.
He said it worked great. Not sure if this could be a large scale solution (seems to me you would need vacuum formed trays)...but it worked in this case.
I also wondered if there is a cling wrap (like you use in the kitchen) that wouldn't be affected by the plastic...but I haven't taken the time to experiment.

The hot water trick works u don't have to boil it just use hot tap water and float them in it for few minutes they straighten out don't expect customers to do this but works for my personal use.

Just got my small fry and I was looking at packaging. My cure will be to package in a smaller bag (4x6) to not allow for baits to move to much.
Made some last night in soft and I can see them getting bent after a while if not in package perfect.
If you use laminate bags, you can seal them pretty good while straight. Regular poly bags, no way.
The ones I did in regular or medium are already stiff and probably will not bend.
If you are in to salt, add some salt and they will stay straight.
I just can't wait to fish these on the smallies! They will be KILLER good!

Occasionally i have had this problem. I just set my bags out in the sun on the boat and let them warm up a bit and the kinks disappear. Never had a customer complain yet
