Title: Remelts
Post by: floridagrimp on 08/02/12 11:06 UTC
what's the norm for remelts?? I add new plastisol to each pour, but I'm thinking  I might need to start throwing some away. I asked Jason to lower the price of plastisol by 50%....still waiting to hear back from him..................wai t, just got this from the man himself

How did you get that grasshopper to make a cricket noise?

You should have minimal waste if you are folding your remelts back into your core colors.

You should save older remelts for really dark colors to even further minimize waste.

Watch your heat and add stabilizer as needed.

I would budget for 10% waste and aim for 5%.  End of the day you could probably get to 1% depending on colors and molds.  A good OP mold will eat up that last little bit.

that's good!

Think i have been getting plastisol too hot..one thing I've learned, pouring lots of baits is hard to do by yourself. My wife is an RN, so i can see how that might come in handy!!!
