How does everybody rig the 5" skinny carrot bait?
-
I only fish it on a drop shot, but i rig it on a 1/0 VMC spin shot. I thread it thru to the bend then back out,i only do this so when 1 side wears out i can slide it down ,give it 1/2 a turn then pop it back thru to the other side. it also works wacky rigged on drop shot.. ill try to get pics later today

Shaky head.

The Venerable CCM 5" Skinny is just about my favorite Minnow-imitating Twitchbait. I rig 'em on a 5/0 Skipgap, skin-hooking the point, weightless and oh-so weedless. I've not fished it any other way, yet...been too busy twitchin' it like a minner.

BKJ, u have a pic of how you rig it?? "skin hookin' a skipgap"??? what does that mean in the greek??
and thanks for the PM, meant a lot.

nose hooked drop shot, or shakey head.

FloridaG, I apologize for not getting back to You yet, it's surely in the works...and I meant every word (emphasis on the Edit!). I rig them basicly like a worm...but the "2nd hook-stick" is completely through the bait, skin-hooking the hook point so it's weedless. When I get home I'm going to lay out a round of hooks and rigged baits with descriptions...I'm not that good of a "teacher" in trying to explain, in detail, in text.

Thanks for the ideas everybody! :)
