I am new at lure making and really don't have much time to experiment. Inventors are like that!
These top water frogs need to float at least 50% out of the water. They will plane to the side and flip direction when given a little pop. Zigzagging and popping are natural attracters and the sideways planing action provides a lot more coverage then a straight retrieve. They also need a good paint job.

They are rigged off the sides to plane like a kite and for balance to perform properly.
