Anyone fishing the crosstail carrot dropshot style? I was watching Scott Canebury on the FLW Forest Wood cup and he was fishing a two hook rig. Top bait was a jackall crosstail shad and the bottom bait was a worm that looked a little like our dragontail. The top dropshot hook was fished loose on the line with a boberstop above it and a swivel below it. Looked interesting. Thinking about using a crosstail carrot and a dragontail for a setup. Any advice or experience? :-\

Check out the VMC SpinShot ...dropshot hook...worth every penny....no need for swivels... or Palomar knots!
I have done pretty good on Walleyes and smallmouth with the crosscut on the bottom hook...and a 3" or 4" Carrot on the top hook. A black crosscut is a a great leech imitation.
The small version of these hooks are killer bluegill and crappie rigs...with the nano!!

These hooks like they will make learning to drop shot a lot easier on me being a newbie. I will have to grab a few. Thanks Andy.

The VMC hook used in the spinshot is a great little hook. As is the spinshot concept. We use this hook to fish for buffalo using a couple of baits and it hooks very well; and is very strong yet not a "thick" hook. We catch 15 - 20 lb ( and up ) buffalo on this hook :) .
CCM sells a drop shot & a wacky hook that appear to be the same hook.
