Ordered the 1.75'' Small Fry. I have just a few ?'s
1. How easy is it to and pour either tops or bottoms?
2.How good do baits come out when twinjected?
3. Can it be drop shotted? If so what size drop shot hook?
& 4. What size/weight jig head does it take (for best hook ups)

The 1.75 small fry hand pours really nice....easy. This mold is super easy to do a second color at the tail.
As for the twin-inject, I only hand pour for a second color.
They drop-shot really nice and, like Andrew, I use the VMC spin-shot hooks for this and I use either a size 6 or a size 4. I think Andrew does a size 8 in the spin-shot for sunfish.
Head weight for me depends on a couple of things. If I am dunking these under a float I use a 1/32 head weight cast on a #4 sickle hook. If I am casting and there is little wind I'll use the same head as under a float. If I am doing deep vertical or casting when there is some wind I use a 1/16 on a #4 sickle hook. If I shallow hook the plastic I can get by using a #6 sickle hook. As a rule I am one to use as large a hook as I can get away with and still hook fish. Sunfish might make me look to smaller hook size. Once in a great while I will tie on a 1/8 head with a size 4 hook cast into it if I am doing some serious current but I try to avoid the heavier heads.
Back to the 1.75 baits....the size [thickness] of the body makes this bait a dandy for color play using hi lites in transparent plastics. You work well with colors and you'll be able to create some wowsers I'm sure.

we use them for trout doen here in SoCal. alot og guys fish it drop shotted on a size 6 hook. I am a jig man. I fish mine on a 1/48 minnow head with a sickle hook, or if i need alittle more distance I fish it on a 132 minnow head. I have also fished in on 1/32 round head.
Buddy of mne got a 10lbs trout last week fishing the fry on 1/48 minnow head, and it was a twin injected fry. I will try to get pictures up of the fish and theblack shad color i made that he caught it on..

x3 on what Tom said. I normally use the smallest SpinShot hook (I think it's an 8 )...but a 6 would probably work well also.
Drop shot them all day yesterday and today for crappies and big bluegills. Caught a surprising number of largemouth too (water temp. is 40).
I use the twin injector on them often...and they turn out really good. I use Tom's spoon "hand pour" method...but I'm hand pour challenged. I like using the Twin Injector if I'm planning to make a lot of them. My favorite color by the way...is CCM silver smoke with small silver glitter. Easy...and the crappies and 'gills love 'em! CCM X2 Chartreuse was the color yesterday. Baby bass over silver smoke is a great looking combo...especially with 3mm eyes....or T-shirt paint ("puffy paint") works really well also. You have to dip them...which makes a slightly bigger bait.
By the way...they are not just for crappies! I've caught bass, bluegills, a 8lb channel cat and a 38" Northern Pike on them!
They also fish well on "safety pin" spinners...aka.. Mr. Twister rigs (blade and jig), and are super Ice fishing baits.

1.75" Fry is perfect glued to a 1/32 round jig head on a #4 sickle hook. Or you can mash the head a little and add stick on eyes and overcoat it as well for more flash.
I also agree you can't go wrong by fishing it as a beetle spin style bait.

I have not twin injected these, but they do turn out great when you use a laminate plate. The small frys in the below pic, I used the laminate plate to inject the top, I hand poured the CCM X2 sweet potato and injected the light purple body and tail. I stuck the eyes on and then clear dipped the head.

I rig these on a 1/32 oz jighead under a Thill Mini Shy Bite float and do just fine with the hook ups. As far as catching crappie, they work very well.

Thanks! You can pick up 1/32 oz round jigheads at Walmart or Bass Pro.

Several people on Crappie.com sell regular and "non-standard" jig heads of great quality at very reasonable prices. Rondon; on this forum; used to sell very good jig heads, and I believe he still does.

I got mine from CTom...the sickle hooks really do the job. Read his info on colors....and he is right...the Merlot really seems to be the ticket. Beats me why....but they out produce every other color and work well with minnow colored baits.

Sorry, I did not know C-tom Poured jig heads on sickle hooks.
The majority of folks in the deep south prefer the sickle hooks when fishing "open water".
