Title: glider rigs
Post by: chase102798 on 11/12/12 22:36 UTC
Looking to start using this bait for smallmouth in current. Currently using grubs on leadhead jigs and want to supplement that with this bait. How are you guys rigging this? Or better yet, what size jigs or type?

I use Gliders basicly like any other smaller soft plastic, generally the same presentations and rigging, with some variations.  I'll fish a Skinny3 or Skinny4 the same way I will a Glider, just depends on preference and the other usual determining factors, along with maybe what I'm wanting to imitate.

I'll throw baits of this general size on a jighead usually...or maybe the swinging-head "Scallop" I make occasionally, for a Weighted Weedles rig similar to the Biffle Hardhead.  I've thrown whole Gliders and half-mold Gliders rigged Weedless on a Carolina.

Chase I use the glider on a 1/16 1/8 round ball jig without collar and on vmc spin shot hook.mike
