Title: Christmas Mold
Post by: Jason on 11/16/12 16:09 UTC
Above are just some of the baits I've been working on.  Feel free to suggest something totally different if you like.  I'll do my best to make the one that gets the most request (especially if it's one I'm close to already completing).

Tight lines,

Jason

Those sound like great molds, but with Christmas being the beginning of ice fishing any more PANFISH molds in the works? maybe a nano style bait with a twin tale?

How about a 6" zipper worm.

4" CCM Glider with this tail on it:
http://www.caneycreekmolds.com/375-DD-Gill_p_397.html (http://www.caneycreekmolds.com/375-DD-Gill_p_397.html)

So you can punch it like a beaver/grub and then split the tail into 2 sections and swim it or put it on any kind of jig. I think it could become a very versatile bait for any season in any conditions. Being able to throw it weightless, Texas rig, Carolina rig, Swim jig, Football jig, Drop shot, Skirted, non-skirted.. I could go on for days..

Toss the Idea around.. not to mention, CHATTERBAIT TRAILER!!! Seriously, with that fat body and the tail split. On a 1/4oz-1/2oz Chatterbait.. OK I need to stop cause now I am all excited and it may never come to be..  ;D :'(

WwwAAAAAAAA!!!  I'm getting beat!!!  3 votes???!!!  NnnnOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I'm going to have to open about a hundred new CCM Forum accounts and cast those votes to the bigger Glider!  There's more than 1 way to Catch a Speckled Trout!!!

3.75 on the paddle tail bait is the way to go imo, (or make it in 3.5 and 4" if u REALLY believe in it) if you are doing one size.  Bass guys want it for their reasons, and saltwater guys want it for other reasons, lol!!

I think that with ice fishing season upon us, you should do a micro round worm.  1", 1.25", 1.50" long and 1/8" and 3/16" dia.  for wacky rigging with ice jigs/ flies.  I am thinking a mold with 12 cavities, 4 of each size, 6 of each dia. 1" and (2) 1.25 @ 1/8" and 1.5 and (2) 1.25 @ 3/16.

Oh and just my 2 cents, I would like to see a 4" worm like the tapered trout worm. Thanks again!                                                                                                                                                                                                      Bob

4.75-5" SWIMBAIT WOULD BE THE WAY TO GO FOR THE BOYS DOWN SOUTH, I USE THE REACTION INNOVATION SKINNY DIPPER FOR BASS AND REDS. THIS WAS MY GO TO BAIT UNTIL I GOT A HAND POUR MOLD BUT THE HAND POUR IS NOTHING COMPARED TO A INJECTION. I THINK IT WOULD SELL LIKE CRAZY AND WOULD PROBABLY PICK UP 5 OR SO AND HAVE A FEW BUDDIES THAT WOULD AS WELL

I had hoped to release them all, but it looks like we are only going to get one right now.  The others will follow soon, just not before Christmas.

Tight lines!

The Christmas mold is complete.  The action is great and it injects like a dream.  CCM JR poured the baits for for the pics tonight - did an awesome job.  I will get them online tomorrow.

Tight lines!
