Title: Dragon Tail Finesse Worm
Post by: CrabbyBass on 11/27/12 23:33 UTC
My buddy bought this new mold and was nice enough to let me take it home today.  WOW!  This mold is awesome!  I was inspired by Jason's product pic to make these dragon tails with a different color tail.

They shot perfect each and every time.  I cannot wait to fish with these in the spring.  Kudos to you Jason!  Another great product from CCM!

Ya. they look great in that pic.

What color is the body?

HD additive and they will be killer texas/weightless in the spring and cooler water

Thanks Bill!

The color is pumpkinseed with black flake.

I will have to get some HD additive my next order.  We have a lot of local ponds here and when the spring rains come the bass stack up by the water flowing out of the culverts.  I am sure these things will just slaughter the bass.

Thanks again!

Those look awesome. Can I ask how you made the different color tail? Is there a separate tail mold?

You can just cut them off and put them back in the mold.  We've also made a tail mold that will work for both of them but don't have it on the site yet.

Thanks JMason!  I shot a bunch of rounds of this worm in chartreuse.  Like Jason said, I went and cut off the tails and put them back in the mold and shot the pumpkinseed black flake color.  I made sure the second color was a little hotter so that it would form a good laminate with the tail.  I made sure of this by yanking on the tail a couple of times after they had cooled for 24 hours.
