I am wondering about a frog rod I would like to get one made. I am going to use the 3.5 in croaker any recommendations. I have never had a rod made. And have never had a frog rod. What would you recommend for action strength length or should I just stick with a factory rod. I am not looking to spend a fortune either. I figured you guys would know more about this than me as I just fish generic gander mountain rods so far.

I use the st. Croix mojo bass 7' mh casting rod. I like it alot it has a fast tip and a ton of back bone, you can walk a spro frog with or burn your croaker. But if you plan on having one made check out feathercast on here. He made Jason a rod and I think he happy with.

Feathercast made me a really nice rod, I need to post a full review. In short, I wanted something specific for how I am fishing the Carrots. I gave him what I wanted the rod to do, that's it. He took it from there and delivered a rod that far exceeded my expectations. My main rods are Loomis GLX and the new NRX, this rod has a place right next to them and it was 1/3 of the price. I would go custom again in a heartbeat.

Not a bad rod but a bit heavy IMO. Basically, you need a 7' or better rod that has a solid backbone but a fast or extra fast tip.
I personally fish a lot of frogs, soft plastic, hollow body and hard plastic, and have found the iROD Genesis rod to be the best so far. I also like the Diawa Light & Tough frog rod and my son LOVES his new Veritas rod ($74) and light as a feather!!!!
Most are around $150. I hear the new Abu Garcia Verdict rods are nice as well.

I just bought the new Bass Pro Shops Carbonlite Rod and I love it. 7'6 Heavy with and Exta Fast tip. Best rod I have ever bought. I also have the Ardent F700 Denny Brauer Flip N Pitch reel. This reel is awesome. Just thought I would let yall know. And I also got it for $126 on ebay brand new instead of $189 like everywhere else.

Ditto on the 700 Ardent reels. I have flipped with them for a season now and they are GREAT!

Mikolay I use a 7' frog and slop legend rod from Stcroix I fish a 3.5" frog on 50lb braid.
It's the perfect rod IMO.
Softer tip allows you to cast the light bait easy.
