I've been doing a bit of thinking lately since my system has the kinks worked out. Most of my focus is on Inland Saltwater, but Freshwater is always a consideration. After the "Hot Pistol" and all it's details, I thought about Avocado/Neon...my Original Avocado/Neon recipe has only .015" Fire Red flake in it because I'd only considered the Cocahoes I used to use, but my latest considerations/thinking has made me realize that other Avocado/Neon baits that were used, had some bigger flake in them. In addition to the "memory refresher", the "Hot Pistol" color made it easy to settle on the flake choice...even easier since both recipes are the same amount of plastic.
Yesterday the sun was very bright, even the sky was bright, and made it tough to get a good pic to show the True Color of this recipe...only a few of the baits in these pics are Good Representatives, mostly those near the tops of the pics. Again, all colorants are non-X2.
...Avocado/Neon...
12 oz.s CCM Plastic "Hard"
3 TBSP M-F Hardener (extra Stabilizer is needed here)
50 Drops CCM Watermelon NB
5 Drops CCM Brown NB
1 Pinch CCM .040" Fire Red flake
1 Smidgen CCM .015" Fire Red flake
CCM Glider and 4" Skinny...top 4" Skinny best shows the color in this pic...

CCM 3" Skinny...the baits toward the top of the pic best show the color...the glare is hiding the True Color in most of these...

CCM Glider and the Old Style H&H Stingray Grub...not a Color Comparison, just Length. My only "complaint" about the Glider is I would rather the Body of the Glider be turned a 1/4-turn, so the wider proportions of the Body and Tail were "in-line" with each other...

Gary, don't know if u have all these molds, but could u place a 4" skinny along side a 4" reg carrot in a photo?? thanks btw, nice color 8)

Thank You Sir! I don't have the 4" Regular, but I do have the 3.5" Regular. The 4" Regular and 3.5" Regular are the same diameter...about the best I can do is take a pic of the 2 molds' interiors together, if that'd work for You.

Side By Side...4" Skinny and 3.5" Regular molds...

thanks for the pics. I like 4" skinny. but...love the 3.5 reg. Would like a 3.75 regular carrot w/a tad more girth.

Another great color combo Gary. Wow.
I see another order coming up since I don't have any of the watermelons or green-browns use guys use so much of.
These more-natural colors are murder on the crappies and walleyes up here in the ice box.

Thank You, Mr. Tom! I've thought about using either a Transparent Straight Green Pumpkin for an Avocado/Neon, or mixing Watermelon and Green Pumpkin for the same, but haven't got to experimenting. I made 2 batches of this color since Avocado/Neon is a Staple in Saltwater, and am going to add some Softener to the scraps and probably 5 drops or so of Green Pumpkin, whenever the 2" Glider gets here, and apply that to chasing Sacalait/Crappie. One of these days I hope to build another SpinFly for that job...:'(
I'm pretty bent, myself, on Natural Colors. I'm not sure how everyone elses screen is showing these pics, but most of the baits on this Thread look like they've got a little OD Green to them, mostly due to the glare, I think...and I wish my baits looked like that. I think some Green Pumpkin in the mix would deliver.
