Title: Tube hooks.
Post by: Justin9j on 12/24/12 08:59 UTC
What hook is everyone using in the 3.5 tube Texas rigged.

And if I got a Ewg hook in my shaky head mold would a tube look good on a shaky head.

I don't shoot Tubes, but I do have some store-boughts that I throw sometimes...4".  I use Owner Offset Worm 5101 4/0...not the commonly found Wide Gap Offset Worm 5102.

Thanks Gary.  I'm hoping I can fit a 3/0 in it.  I was out shopping and thought I would buy some hooks. For santA

The body is 1.5". A 3/0 will work fine. If it's a tad long you can just put it in the end of the tube opening.

Thanks Jason.  Got some 3/0. Owners.

Was going to try some of my new baits this week. But got a blizzard warning tomorrow.
My butt will be in the wrecker for two or three days.  I'm sure.

Justin,
Are you fishing weed, rock, wood or a combination ? For texas rig I like the Owner wide gap plus.

I like the owner rig n hook,  just fits tubes way better than any other.   Also the eagle claw hp hook, its a kahle style hook with a wire clip, shaw grigsby designed it.
