I have not poured plastics in several years but may start back making my own. One reason I quit was when I used M-F Plastisol and M-F colors I had a terrible color bleeding problem. Are the newer colors and plastisol as prone to this issue? Color combo's such as purple/white and others would bleed badly.

The CCM store has noted which colors bleed and those that don't. I think all plastisol tends to put off a little oil. I have not experienced any bleeding with CCM colors that stated non bleeding.

As kipbass said, it's stated which CCM colors bleed on the CCM site. If you do buy, I strongly recommend the X2 colors. They are great! I started out with the regular versions, and now 98% of the colors I use are X2 versions.

I am slowly converting over to CCM X2 colorant. This stuff is out of this world. I ordered and received the Midnight Blue and CCM Green yesterday. I highly recommend both colors, especially the CCM Green.

CCM Green is awesome. I love that color. Jason has really made some great products. His plast is the best you can get. If you are going to start back again, use CCM and Do-it to get the job done right.

I appreciate the help with this. I was glad to hear that there have been advances made to the colorants and the plastic as well. Looks like I am going back to making my own lures again. I normally buy several hundred dollars worth of bass and crappie plastic lures each year. Problem is that most do not come in the colors I need or if I can find the color it is not the body shape I want. Once again, thanks for the info.

All of CCM's non-bleed colors are fantastic, and it's great that it's noted on the ones that bleed. If you find a color from a company that you might want, just ask here on the forum if it bleeds or not. I'm sure someone will know!
