I think I saw on a post about allowing to cure before bagging. But I can't find it.
Thanks, John

Yes they do. If they aren't cured by the time you bag them, the tails and other appendages curl. I like to cure them for a minimum of 2 days, but you can do it overnight in a freezer and it will work for most baits. I wouldn't do that for the fry baits though. The tail would still curl/curve on those.

If you use them the same day it shouldn't be a problem. One day minimum is my routine.

I make sure they cure at least 24 hours or more depending on when I am shipping or delivering an order. If I have the room I keep them out while making other orders as long as I can.

We let them cure over night in the fridge. Never a problem here!!

I've got a bunch of jerky drying screens with a 3/16" mesh. They are chrome plated and are easy to clean after doing jerky. They serve double duty here in this house. I lay my fresh baits out on the screens and then set them out in the garage to cool and cure. The racks can be stacked about three high too.
I like my baits to get cool/cold for a couple days anyway before I trim the runner and box or package them. The larger the baits and the heavier any appendages are, the more I want them to cool well. A couple of my ice baits have super lithe tails and those get a day long chill, then handled as I need.
