im new to this,so i would like to know from you seasoned guys,if you could only choose one supplier of plastic colors,which one would you choose?im guessing it will be x2.what would you suggest to a new guy to start with in other words,as far as keeping things simple with all one brand of colors.

Save yourself the trouble and stick with X2. Best colorant on the market!

I did the math before. Buying pints of other brands vs X2 drop per drop in 4oz of plastic, X2 was one cent cheaper. Also counting 30 drops or more is tedious compared to the 5 or 10 with X2.

If you are new to this, stay with the X2 for doing your basic colors. If you have an eye for color and like to play with customizing colors, then it may pay you to mix vendors to purchase small bottles that use can use to tweak colors. The smaller bottles found elsewhere are weaker by comparison but X2 is so strong that using it in tiny amounts can often be too much. Until you get a real handle on this plastic and color play, stick with the X2.
Remember to keep a note pad and to create a recipe book of your own. Write down every last detail and addition for each color you make so you have a specific reference to go back to.

Be wary of colors that bleed; try to avoid them if at all possible. Powdered specialty colors will allow you to achieve some really good effects. Powdered colors are typically strong as well; so a little goes a long way.
