The X2 chartreuse is a yellower chartreuse. For it to go green, blue or green needs to be added. Keep in mind that the stuff is potent. If you are looking for a more transparent chartreuse to add the pepper to, start by using about 1/2 of the amount noted in the color order section located under the ordering info for that color. If you need to strengthen the chartreuse just add a drop or two to an ounce of raw plastic, cook it and combine the two cooked plastics to use. Add your flake AFTER you attain the color/ transparency you want.

ctom, do you (or anyone else) have a formula for the more transparent chartreuse using X2? I buy this color from Spike-It but it's the bleeding chartreuse, which I'm not wild about, effective..but can't be messy!!

I should be getting my X2 Chartreuse today. I cannot wait to try it out! Finally a non-bleeding chartreuse. The color combos are now limitless!

To be honest I mix up the X2 chartreuse to shoot tail colors and its an opqaue color for that. All of the scrap chatreuse goes into a bag for re-melts. This is where I will cut about 3/8 cup of scrap with 3/8 cup of raw plastic, a few drops of stabilizer and re-heat slowly. I heat at full power but only in 15 second shots after the first 30 second blast. I check the temp at each increment. The result is a nearly transparent chartreuse, but with the x2 I think its reall tough achieve that crystal clear color. Caney's original chartreuse was color-fast and you could get a nice clear chartreuse but you needed tons of drops to get any depth to the color. Maybe check to see if this can still get gotten. I have about a half a bottle but I use it to tweak colors now.
Take a look at the M-F site under their colors and select the color chart. Click on the no-bleed drop-down and you'll find a color-fast chartreuse transparent.

thanks ctom...wish Do-It would carry nite glo, this chartreuse, green motor oil and some other missing colors
-
FG....that M-F site has a no bleed motor oil that comes off as green and shifts to a brown. Some red flake in there and watch out. Just a plain, transparent motor oil using this colorant is a sweetie.
As with anything, people need to request these different colors so the people in the front office doing the ordering know its worth the trouble to stock it. Like Caney, Do-It is a forward moving company so don't be afraid to let your wishes be known.

Thanks Ctom. I use red flake in bout every color, but never used it in the motor oil. Just tried it, and man it looks good! Joey

Red and green glitters are some of the most versatile colors around. Same with those colors in hi lites when added to plastic an entirely different color.

I just got my X2 Chartreuse yesterday and I love it! I tested with some red fleck and also with green fleck and it's amazing! Thanks CCM!

I got my X2 last Friday. I used it on Sunday and love it too! My 8 year old daughter was out helping me make lures. She told me to do a test where I take some of the Chartreuse and put it on top of some leftover white to make sure it doesn't bleed. LOL! Smart girl, she is!

im still having a greenish problem even with x2.heres what im doing, tell me where im wrong.8 oz plastic,8 drops x2 chartruse,1/4 teaspoon large black flake. i heat and stir every 30 seconds until i reach 350 deg. first shot is usually fine, but on the reheats it turns to a lime green type of color. i also use 2 drops of heat stabilizer and ccm plastic.any help is greatly appreciated.

Probably a result of the glitter. The clear fluoros are touchy and are influenced easily. I have a fluoro yellow that greens when silver glitter is added when reheated. First shot is good, reheat and it greens. Maybe a different "black" glitter will help. And going as cool as you can on the reheat.
