Title: will flat eyes work?????
Post by: MO QWACK on 03/27/13 20:50 UTC
I'm wondering if the cheap flat eyes will work on baits once  you clear dip it? I'm using pretty 3d eyes now but at 21 cents a pair its pricey! I love the way they look but just to much money .

They work, poured some carrots and used the flat eyes tonight.

My first eye purchase was a flat eye. After dipping I wished I'd have spent the money on better eyes.  Many of the flat eyes will wrinkle and bleed under the cover dip.

My advise is to get eyes from Do-It /Caney since they are proven to stand up to the plastics and heat involved. Mo...where are you getting the eyes?

#D is the way to go, easier to put on. You can get them much cheaper if your willing to buy a lot. I pay just under 500.00 per 100,000 eyes. You have to order 1-2 months in advance are made to order

Ditto re Tom's remarks.  You can also get some pretty good eyes at fly shops.  I like the Mirage brand of eyes.

The man... the meth...legend.... micro where ya been? By my Louisiana math 100,000 eyes = 50,000 baits  :o wow I don't think I could spell 50k much less sale that many baits lol but that's is an awesome price! How's things going?
