Now go figure this.
Mr. Lamberson and I live where winter is supposed to be taking a hike but our forcast for tonight has me, at least, looking to get upwards of 6" of snow tonight and early tomorrow morning. Its been dumping rain here since about 430 this afternoon and the thermometer just hit 33 degrees. A quick peak at the weather map shows snow falling about 6 miles from town now. This stuff stinks. I don't know about Andy but I don't need snow.
Andy fishes the river way more than I do and if the water levels keep rising he might be able to launch at the end of the street to his sub-division. The bulk of this water/snow is falling in the Minnesota River watershed which of course feeds the Mississippi River watershed. Right now just north of Andrew the river is runnign at just over 5 feet high. Snow pack depths further north into the same watershed is still at around 22 to 30 inches and with this storm they'll be warmer than we are so melting will continue to add to this shot of extra moisture that we don't need right now. This could get interesting.
As for the snow and its removal, I am going to let the guy that puts it here remove it. I just hope that my Magnolia doesn't take a whooping from it. There are 200 blooms partially opened this afternoon. Who knows, maybe I'll get a white on white picture tomorrow.
