Morning all. I have a 4 oz injector that I got last year and I started having issues with it a few days ago. I have been using it a lot over the last few weeks and never had an issue until the other day. It is sticking about 2" from the top of the injector and makes it very hard to top off molds and/or inject molds. I have checked the inside of the injector, cleaned it after every use, checked the o-ring at the top, and even tried using canola oil to elevate the "sticking". I don't see any tears or wear on the o-ring and the inside of the injector is clean and no scratches. Any ideas/suggestions? I will be out of the country starting tonight so if I don't respond until the 17th, that is why. Thanks in advance all.

Try changing the O-ring. Have you dropped the injector? Maybe it's dented.

I will have to pick one up when I get back next weekend. No, I am very careful with her. She has a specific place when not in use where she can't even roll and I sure don't drop her. If it were to fall, I have a foam mat that I stand on. I looked at it and there aren't any dents either. Thanks for the help. I will try the o-ring next week and advise back then. Time to head for the airport and then the cruise...lol.

wilks19 You might have a lot of plastic behind the piston . Take the injector apart and clean it. Mike

Thanks Mike. I did that first. I didn't have much plastic at all. I was surprised by how little plastic there was behind there. I had been pretty busy shooting and thought of that. Could it be warped from being used so frequent and it being warm up in IL? I know it is aluminum and it takes a lot to warp aluminum, but that is a possiblity too right?
