Title: Diggin the Do-it Brush jig.
Post by: t-billy on 06/25/13 11:57 UTC
This jig comes through both wood, and rock exceptionally well. It's also easy to pour. It's very forgiving when it comes to mold temp, and pouring technique. Give whoever designed this jig a pat on the back, and a thank you from me, would ya Jerry? They did a fine job. Thanks,Tim.

Will do t-billy... it's one of my favorite designs as well, especially in the sticks.

Couldn't agree more!  This has been one of the most versitile heads I have ever used, with or without the weedguard.  It comes through all types of cover.  I did an article for the Do-It website about the Brush Jig and how it's the all-terrain vehicle of jigs.  Beyond the typical bass jig, they are great tipped with a fluke bait like a 4" whatz-it or any type of plastic.  The last couple times I went to FL I took a bunch and worked them with GULP shrimp and they were outstanding.

You can pour them and just leave the hole in the head and not add a fiber weedguard.  Or if you want it to look clean, trim down a hole pin right to the face of the head.  Then you can pour it without the hole.  The empty hole is a great place to squeeze some Pro-Cure Sticky Gel if you use scents.

Its a great head design!
