I use epoxy - after painting, etc - never had one pull out.

super glue rules. Cheap and easy.

I use super glue GEL....otherwise regular super glue sometimes migrates up the stands before it sets...especially if you don't keep them upright or they fall over while curing.
Although if I had to do a whole bunch...I would probably make up some longer set time epoxy and do them with epoxy. It doesn't take much to lock them in!

I'm gettint the lead heated as I type. I'm doing several hundred smaller heads. After my fishing yesterday in an invisible jungle I am in dire need of box-stocking. lol

I used to experience the problem with the weedguard falling over, but that problem went away completely when I started using the base pin when powder coating instead of drilling out the hole. Now, with very few exceptions, the weedguard slips in tightly and I get very little squeeze out of the super glue. It seems the epoxy I used to use would always squish out of the hole leaving a rim of epoxy around the weedguard. All things considered, there's more than one way to skin a cat. We just have to find the thing that works best for us.
