Definitely too quiet. I'm sure they're all having an awesome time without us. Wish I could have made it. I did take some time to brave the cold to make some baits in motor oil/black flake today. Dark background makes them look darker than they are. Black flake and green hilite make darken the color, so definitely need to start light on the x2, this is 4 drops in 6 oz.

One of the three is back home now. More will follow soon.
As anticipated, this was a doings of all doings. Carole and I stopped by the shop early yesterday and then spent the day snooping thru the several antique shops in Manly, Ia. where the evening festivities were scheduled. The evening was a riot unleashed. Somewhere after midnight things began to wind down and today we all met at the Denver shop for coffee and rolls. After the muncies we were treated to a very nice tour of the facilities, then we all retired to a wonderful plastics shooting studio. Lots of things came to light there. We broke from play for a lunch at one of Denver's fine watering holes, then it was back to the shooting studio until people began to get packed for a drive or flight home.
All in all. it was well worth the travel time for this event. I'd be in on another in the future should one come along.

Drew called me. To rub it in how much fun they had. Next year I'm in. Would have went this year but the daughter has a dance thing in Nashville TN tomorrow.

Two stop lights in the whole town. So I'm not into dumb people. I'm going down town parking and walking. After check in.

I know the feeling... I sometimes go to Cabela's (a little over an hour from my home) and they usually trick me into reaching for my back pocket... there must be something in the air, like some kind of "fur-mone" that I can't readily detect... whatever it is, it generally overpowers any urge I may have had to buy new window treatments for the wife. ;D
