Who let drew be in the middle. What a photo hound.

Drew couldn't actually be moved as he spilled some plastic and was standing in it, so we moved the table over about three feet so it looked like he was supposed to be in the middle.

Tom. That sounds about right with drew.
Tom did you have to roll up the news paper and smack drew to settle him down?

Drew was well behaved. We all were. Well....Denny got....nah, he was fine. Great bunch to hang with.
I'll have to say here again THANKS to the Do-It crowd for the wonderful opportunity share some time and talents. The artwork on hard baits sure was something to see in the hand. The other Tom and Drew brought examples and samples of their works and I can assure each and every one of you that nothing on a store's shelf comes remotely close to the works they had there.
The plant tour wasn't just a real interesting part of all of this but it also helps for those attending to see just how much thought and trial and error goes into even the simplest of product production. Being able to watch the various tasks that all of the personnel had going on clearly showed how the whole of Do-It runs as well as it does. Every person met or encountered at the plant was flat out stand up character type of person.
Ryan, Jason, Mark and Jerry and the rest of the Do-It crew made this a great day. Carole and I have been thru the plant in its entirety twice now and we are still talking about the things we didn't pick up on during the first run thru. Mark was a super guide in every aspect of the plant and the people performing the many different tasks in the mold production area did an outstanding job of explaining the details of their work. Bottom line.....what we saw and what we learned just goes right back to the quality in the products that all of us see in the Do It product line. Some very fortunate people in this great group who came to visit now have a whole new view of what makes Do It what it is and what makes the company tick. All of these visitors now know why Do It is at the top of the pile in the tackle industry.

I (and I'm sure many of you) can confirm this about Drew's work. Even his patterns that are (only remotely) similar to what's on store shelves are out of this world. Not only that but he's a great guy who will go out of his way to help you out.

We all found that out. The man is top notch in his work and just plain a nice guy to spend time with. In speaking with him you can hear the intensity of how he looks at what he does.

The picture was taken in their shooting studio. We got to play and share some thoughts and work with different molds, etc.

This is the 2" glider. The colors shown here were already in cups at the studio and I thought this was a great combination to show my hand -pouring technique using spoons. This morning I did a re-make and put eyes on a couple. Its amazing how eyes can change a bait.
That gold comes from a couple ounces of plastic with a shot of stabilizer and two drops of regular yellow, followed by a good dose of gold hi lite. Its a really nice gold. Along side of that hot pink [X2 hot pink] this makes a really nice bait color. The eyes are 3mm.

A very good example of Mr. Tom making use of some stuff that was just "layin' around" and turning it into a bait that will undoubtedly catch some fish. It was a pleasure to see his artisan type detail as he worked with his spoons. Thank you Tom.
I will also add that Mr. Matt has the spoon type hand pours down to a science. I believe either one of them could do it in their sleep as they all make it look so easy. Being able to watch it done.... as it's done... is flat out inspiring.

There isn't enough words to explain the experience that the people at Do-It provided. And the tricks that were shared by the Master's C Tom, Matt,Terry, Drew and all there. The talent is just amazing. Mike 8)

Sounds like a great time was had by all. That is a great picture of all who attended. I do have a request though, can someone add names to the pic, so we can see who is who? Pretty please? :D :D
